It's official, I'm a commissioned composer with my sheet music published online!! EEEEP!!
This has been a LONG TIME COMING, and I have been working towards some version of this for pretty much my entire adult life so I am just over the moon.
I'm proud of the hard work I've put in. I'm grateful to the people that have supported me and taken chances on me in all the dozens of ways they have over the years to help make this a reality for me. There is absolutely no way I could have gotten to this point without them.
"We Are Murmurs" was a piece commissioned by Resonance Ensemble in fall of 2022, then first performed in January 2023 at their "Dirty Stupid Music" annual showcase. The first published sheet music is now available online for it. You can find it at the new store page on my site!
Resonance interviewed me about my process and specifically about creating the piece. Their blog post has gone live today!
